I was looking for an app that I could have a list of what I needed to do for assignments. This is because I tend to not keep a really planner since I can never seem to keep track of it. I know myself and know that I always keep track of my phone. I looked for a task app and found it on the google play store.
The task app has different levels of information that can be put in. It has a basic folder that allows the user to put all the same tasks in it. In each task a person can have the task name, notes, sub tasks, a due date, reminder, priority, if it needs to be a highlight, if it's been completed, and when it was created. Once a task has been created it is in a list with other tasks (once those have been created). Once a task has been completed to check it off on the app is by the little circle next to the task. This is a free app.
This app did not have a tutorial on the different things that can be done with the app. It was all trial and error to see what worked. Someone else using the app could probably figure it out quickly if they had a little bit of knowledge on it beforehand.
This can be used in the classroom as a way to get students who don't want to have the planner to write down everything they have to do for homework outside the class. This can be used for both high school and middle school. A problem with this app is that it is on the phone and since many schools are banning phones and if they don't have a phone they can't put in the information. The advantage of this is that it is on the phone and many students can't pry the phone from their hands. Since the phone is in their hands they are more likely to look at the app then to go to their backpacks to open a planner. The one skill that someone can use on this is to get having a list of things to do and keep a good schedule if they use due dates.
